The second section of Bulgaria's Trakiya motorway linking Stara Zagora and Nova Zagora is scheduled for completion within 25 months, regional development minister Rosen Plevneliev said at the ground-breaking ceremony.

The BGN 138 million contract was awarded to Trace Motorways, a consortia between Trace Group, SK 13 Holding, Road Construction Dobrich and ViaStroyEngineering.

Bulgaria's new road construction contracts include a clause on the quality of asphalt, Plevneliev noted, adding that the new material is included in the contract price for the second section of Trakiya Motorway.
