Sofia Mayor Ready to Up Construction Permits Price
Sofia Mayor Boyko Borissov has suggested that the municipality ups the price of a construction permit from BGN 0,8 to BGN 15, aiming to increase the institution's income. In a meeting with Bulgaria's Business Leaders Forum (BBLF), Borissov explained that with each new building selling for thousands of euros, the price paid for the permit up till now was laughable. Some of Sofia's problems will easily be solved with financial decentralization, the mayor told the business masters. He also explained that taxes should be different for the residents of each Sofia district.
