A leading Bulgarian real estate agency has warmly welcomed a fresh rule for EU citizens visiting Bulgaria. Allowing them to enter the country and stay for up to three months with just a passport needed is creating tremendous new opportunities for the market, Bulgarian Properties commented.
People from entire Europe will be coming to Bulgaria to work here, to start a business, or to stay for a longer period of time, Adrian Musgrave at Bulgarian Property says.

He believes that the arrival of EU nationals would wide-open the gates to the European property sales and rentals market. Bulgaria's investment potential will move to a whole new level once the law enters into force, according to Musgrave.

Bulgaria has adopted a bill allowing people from current EU members to enter with only a passport or valid ID, and stay up to three months. Those who are self-employed, people who have gotten a work in Bulgaria, prove to have enough money to cover their expenses, or have been admitted to a local university, can earn a permit to stay for five years.
