Next week Bulgaria will start the construction of veterinary border inspection posts (BIPs) at Kalotina, Bourgas and Varna, said the deputy farming minister. That building start will be followed almost immediately by the launch of construction of BIPs at Bregovo, Zlatarevo and Gyueshevo.
The BIPs should be completed before Bulgaria joins the EU. The projects are co-financed by EU's Phare program and the state budget. One veterinary BIP, at Kapitan Andreevo, was built 3 years ago on Phare money.
