Mall of Sofia, the first multi-functional shopping and entertainment center in Bulgaria, has been certified by the Invest Bulgaria Agency as a first class investment.

The sixth certificate to be issued by the agency went to M.O. Sofia company for its planned investments in the complex by March 2006, scheduled to amount to BGN 72,2 M. The total amount of the investments for implementing the project is expected to reach BGN 105,6 M.

Mall of Sofia, the biggest shopping, entertainment and business center to be built in Bulgaria, had its cornerstone laid in May 2004. Construction works began two months later after Lindner Bulgaria won the tender for building Mall of Sofia.

Bulgaria's first Mall will rise in the heart of the capital, covering a total area of 70 000 sq m. It will comprise stores, restaurants, coffee shops, kids playground and a huge modern hypermarket, 12 multiplex cinema theaters and the first 3-D IMAX cinema, as well as 5 floors of offices.
