The law passed at the National Assembly concerning water supply and sewerage gives the green light to foreign investors in the sector, said Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Valentin Tserovski at the meeting with Czech companies, members of the Czech-Bulgarian Chamber.
Bulgarian legislation related to water supply and sewerage is harmonized with European laws. The National Assembly took the necessary measures to guarantee the stability of the sector and the protection of foreign investments, reducing the risk, said Minister Tserovski.

The companies that attended the meeting were interested in purifying potable and waste water, in projects funded under the ISPA programme, in investments in small water power plants of the Water Supply and Sewerage company, in the delivery of equipment for the modernization of purifying stations and others.

The Czech companies were introduced to the strategy for the development and management of the Water Supply and Sewerage sector and the funding of the water sector in the country under the ISPA programme of the EU.
