The construction of the highway to link Bulgaria's Sofia and Serbia's Nis is planned to be launched in September, Serbian Investment Minister Velimir Ilic announced Sunday. Tanjug news agency quoted him saying that Serbian parliament was expected to vote next week the concession award of EUR 527 M and wrap up all pre-construction procedures before September. Sofia-Nis highway is part of strategic transport corridor No.10, which runs along five main roadways across Europe.
